Nurses who are sometimes considered to be passive in the Nigerian context have to disprove it. Not just in words but by our actions. Not for strife but of a desire to bring about a positive change.
In a time where a huge deal can be achieved but nothing is being done is not good enough.
Do you know that in the Nigerian health sector, Nurses have by far the highest population of members? Given such figures, quacks shouldn’t be having a field day beating into the ground the precious lives of fellow Nigerians while we just stand aside and look.
There’s a great deal we can do.
Do you know that quacks indirectly exploit the Nigerian economy by slowly destroying our viable human resources with their harmful and deleterious practices. Having a field day, even when we as Nigerian professional nurses outnumber them on a 1:1 basis.
Are you going to help or you’re just going to stand there and observe the situation degenerate into total decadence?
Considering our sacrifices as Nurses. Already, we deserve accolades, but accolades don’t just come, neither are they demanded, they are earned.
